call it home

yoga is a lot like coming home

can you open the door when four feet of snow blocks the entry?

will you open a window to invite the wind in?

can you stand at the bathroom mirror and truly face yourself?

when you lay in bed, eyes closed, when you can hear the walls settle, do you feel safe?

do you tend to your garden, and nurture what’s growing and what’s not?

yoga teaches us to return to ourselves not only in moments of gratitude and bliss, but also in times of sadness, resistance, and uncertainty.

it reminds us to let life unfold and flow through us.

to meet the uncomfortable parts of our minds and bodies with breath,

to make peace with them,

and to call them home :)
